The secrets behind our sauce…

Whatever you need printed; we can print it—sell sheets, direct mail, brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters, reports, business cards, letterhead, and lots of envelopes!

Our state-of-the-art capabilities include both offset and digital presses. Which one is right for you? It depends on the artwork, the quality required (offset is generally able to achieve the highest possible quality), the quantities needed, and the paper to be used. Mark, our owner, Genevieve, or Lou will be glad to review your job and advise you on the best method to meet your needs.

Offset Printing
Our in-house offset printing services include 1, 2, 3, and 4-color jobs. We use state of the art Computer-to-Plate (CTP) technology to ensure sharp quality and eliminate the use of environmentally unfriendly film and chemicals.

Digital Printing
Digital printing is a method of printing in which the data and images are printed directly from a computer onto paper. The process differs from offset printing in several ways:
• Because printing plates are not required, every print can be different.
• Because there is less initial setup, it is very cost effective for small print runs.
• Because there is no drying time required, the job can go to bindery for cutting or other finishing work on the same day. That makes for very fast turnaround times!

The days of the $1 color copy with funky looking reds and greens are over. The latest digital presses rival offset in print quality, and are very cost efficient for low quantities. Colorprint has the latest technology in our digital print department, making it possible for us to turn around beautiful jobs with same day pick-up.

Marketing Services
Successful variable data print campaigns need database knowledge, mailing services, digital printing, and graphics savvy. You can find all these capabilities at Colorprint.

Variable Data Printing
Variable Data Printing (VDP) is a method of increasing response rates to mailings by increasing relevance to the recipient. By using fields in the database to insert personalized content into the piece, VDP gets the consumer’s attention and engages their interest, helping marketers enjoy increased response rates.

Here’s one example. A hotel is sending out a travel package mailing. Their mailing list data includes some records with children, and some without. As the piece is printed, different images or text are used for each type of recipient. People with no children receive a card promoting the wine tasting tour, and those with children receive a card promoting the family picnic package. Study after study has proven that this kind of personalized messaging will almost always outperform a generic approach.

Mark has a strong understanding of this process and loves to consult on such projects. Please call him if you’d like to learn how to use VDP to grow your business or personalize your high-end invitations.
