Do you remember participating in reading contests? How much fun they were...ah, memories. Here is a great way to support our kids in reading as well as a fantastic organization, BCE. The prizes look amazing too! Thanks to BCE for putting together such a great fundraising effort.

The BCE Read-a-thon is a week-long fundraiser that promotes literacy, inspires excitement about reading, and increases awareness about BCE. Students seek sponsorships to benefit BCE and compete for classroom and individual prizes for the most minutes read! Be on the lookout for BCE Read-a-thon envelopes being sent home mid-January and get ready to help your student to track all minutes read outside of class.

Pledges can be made online by going to bcefoundation.org. Donations can still be made by check payable to BCE.

Prizes For Reading!
Chance to win an iPad mini: all students who return their donation envelope will be entered into a prize drawing for an iPad mini; for every $100 in donations, student will get an additional prize drawing entry
All participating students will automatically be entered into a prize drawing for a chance to win an iPad Mini along with a free 6-month subscription to Texture
Class party for the class with the highest participation at the end of BCE Read-a-thon
Daily class prizes and surprises for all participants!
